Turkey in a Bottle Handprint Craft

This activity is a super fun and easy fine motor and hand eye coordination activity  for Thanksgiving. This like other in a bottle craft is perfect for younger kids and is almost mess free. This Turkey color mixing craft is an awesome science lesson too! The handprints as turkey feathers are just too adorable!

Recreating this activity is super simple. First, trace the handprint of students on red, orange and yellow construction paper. Cut them and save for later. Grab a empty water bottle ( I used 250ml water bottle) ,pour different colors in it like red, yellow, blue, green. Insert a small ball or acorns and close the lid of the bottle tightly. Now, let the students have fun shaking the bottles in different directions. Gradually, the colors mix and make the bottle mucky brown from inside. Once done, take goggle eyes, triangle beak and half cut red balloon to use as the wobble. Now glue the handprints on the back side of the bottle to complete your adorable bottle turkey.
